The following items will need to be determined, as to
effectiveness, as we proceed in the development. The RWSL core area will be the
first to be studied. Items with *** will be ready by Fall.
- ***Formative/Summative Tests: Teachers will
provide tests written in Word that can be entered by OAMS staff and/or teacher
can enter their own assessments directly. Teacher-made tests and quizzes can
be entered. Includes semester, chapter, spelling, etc. Graphics can be added
and OAMS can design Flash-based questions, if needed. Custom Test Format
- ***Essays: Teachers post subject area and
students write essays online and submitted. Teacher can grade and add
comments. E-mail evaluations back to students. In addition, students can write
for practice and exchange with peers and evaluations based on six traits.
Also, examining possibility to have computer analyse for six-traits based on
8.2.1 Rubric.
- ***Worksheets: Worksheets can be added, as long
as they are in a Word format. OAMS staff can add or teachers can enter
directly.
- ***Tutorials: Performance-Based practice sets to
develop standard assessment skills.
- ***Report: Student Management Report used to
explore class weaknesses and show overall results based on school grading
scale.

for their students. These sessions can “visit” about subjects for essays,
group efforts, or teacher feedback.
- ***Automation: Teachers control which grades are
added to Power School/IC and included in the report card process. Use system

- Auto-Update: As grades are added and changed,
parents will receive the student results or a notification to view latest
results.
- ***Web-Page: A self-generated web page to be used
by teacher to link sites of interest. OAMS will offer 24-hour services to
develop pages based on specific concepts. For example, teacher wants a page
based on spiders. OAMS will research spiders at grade level, create links and
send URL to teacher for students.
- Lesson Plans: Online plans can be e-mailed to
designated personnel and archived for future use.
